About Funding Rates

Funding Rates (fundingrates.app) is a research and tools site. It compares the funding rates of perpetual futures across centralised exchanges and on-chain perp DEXs, in one table, on one scale, and offers a funding rate calculator, an arbitrage scanner, a heatmap, stock and pre-IPO perp boards and funding history. It is free to use and needs no account.

What the site covers

  • Live perpetual funding rates from Hyperliquid (core and HIP-3 dexes), Binance, Bybit, OKX, dYdX, Aster, Lighter, edgeX, GMX, Paradex and LeverUp markets, normalised to hourly, 8h and simple APR values.
  • Crypto assets that trade on at least two venues, plus gold, FX, index, stock and pre-IPO perps where venues list them.
  • 17 dedicated coin pages, a funding rate arbitrage scanner, a heatmap, a calculator and a history page for Hyperliquid and OKX.

It does not cover options, spot markets, venues that publish no public funding endpoint, or any trading advice.

How data is collected

A scheduled job fetches each venue's public API every 10 minutes (no keys, no accounts), converts every rate to a common scale and stores one snapshot. Each table row shows its venue, the time of the fetch it comes from and a link to the public endpoint it was read from. A venue whose latest fetch failed keeps its last good rows, marked stale with the time of its last good update; the JSON feed also flags any row older than 30 minutes. We have commercial relationships with the venues listed on this site and may earn when you use their links. Rankings and calculations follow the same published rules for every venue.

Contact and corrections

Found a wrong rate, a broken source link or a missing venue? Email support@fundingrates.app with the page URL, the venue and asset, and what you expected to see. Fixes are recorded in the changelog.

Privacy

Every page loads two analytics scripts: Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics. They report page views and basic visit data to those providers, and Google Analytics may set its own cookies in your browser. The site's own code does not set cookies, does not use localStorage or sessionStorage, and has no accounts or logins. The one form on the site is the email signup for the briefing (see below).

Briefing signup: if you enter your email on a briefing page we store the address, the signup time and the page you signed up on. To limit abuse we also keep a salted hash of your IP address (not the address itself) for up to 24 hours. No email is sent yet, nothing is shared with anyone, and the signup uses no third-party service. To have your address deleted, email the contact address on the About page with the address you want removed.

The funding calculator runs in your browser (calc.js); the page code does not send the numbers you type anywhere.

Not financial advice

Funding rates change every hour and differ by venue in index, caps and settlement timing. Data may be delayed, stale or wrong; spreads are gross and ignore fees, slippage and margin, and a gap on an illiquid venue may not be tradable at size. Check the live rate on the venue before acting.
